These guys have been fair with me.. They never tried to pad the bill with anything. The only thing I have had an issue with is the emissions update recall. It caused problems with running when cold and my remote start no longer works. I took it in and they did what they could to no avail. This was not the dealership, this was Kia. The update is bad. Don't get it. When they tried to charge me $200 for diags I balked. They actually looked at it from my perspective and deleted the bill. My car still runs rough on cold starts and the remote start doesn't work but I can live with that. That's on Kia,, not the dealership. The car is ten years old. I failed to mention that they gave me a ride home twice. And picked me up twice because I had no other transportation, How nice is that! We're talking 15 miles each way. I was going to use a local tire shop to replace my tires but I'm going to give MB Kia my business. They want a few dollars more but they are worth it. They really are good decent people.
Service dept was great in doing the service on my 2025 kia soul today. Sean was wonderful in keeping me updated on the progress. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Patrick M. was by far the best car salesman I've had in my years of purchasing cars. I went on the site to schedule a test drive and he promptly messaged me and begin sending me information on the car letting me know it would be ready for me when I got there. He took his time explaining things to my daughter since it was her 1st purchase. Patrick made sure to explain all the perks that came with the car in detail, took time to show us how to work the functions inside. If you need help definitely ask for Patrick he will get you right 💯
The service department at this location is aweful, and they are truthful at all. We brought our kia sportage here, to find out why our airbag light went on. We received a message telling us the cost and we declined both seravices. We then called to find our when we could pick up the vechicle, that went everything when downhill from there. Charlies finally answered our call, because no one would pick up the phones, and I thank goodness I have records to show how many times we called. After speaking with him he finally said he would have the car ready and we said we will head over to pick up the car, and he said fine. We arrive at Kia and we are then told that the car is not ready the service guy is out to the lunch for 30 to 45 minutes. Im like why did you not just say that or call us back and tell us that so we did not come all the here to pick the car. So we told him please call us when he is back so we can come get the car. This is happened between 12 pm and 12:15 pm , can you imagine lunch breaks at kia are till 3:54 pm when we finally received a call to pick up our car and the manager who really needs a new job tells us it was miscommunication. No you need knew empolyees, because they did not do there jobs. The manager should be assamed of himself looking at people like deer with head light in road. Horrible.
I had an excellent experience working with Patrick McMahon. From the test drive to signing the paperwork, Patrick was friendly, patient, and straightforward. He answered every question clearly and broke down the numbers without any surprises. He communicated everything in a way that I understood and the best part was I didn't spend hours sitting around waiting for answers from anyone. The whole Kia staff were polite and straight forward, with no gimmicks. From meeting Patrick when I first arrived at the dealership, to making the sell, to meeting with the finance people, to driving away in my sweet ride, everything was so smooth. I’d happily recommend Patrick and the Myrtle Beach Kia staff to friends and family.
I had an excellent experience with Chris my salesman. I applied got approved, made an appointment and drove home with a 2025 Kia K5. It was a great day for me. They got me in and out in no time. The best car dealership I ever worked with an did not have any problems with the Finance Department or Sales. If I could give zero stars, I would. The service dept is abysmal! No appts for 2 weeks and ghosting me when I try to call back. Not a way to do business. They jump out of the walls to sell you a car but once you own it, they don’t care one bit.
We purchased an extended warranty on our Kia Sportage when we lived in Las Vegas. Each time we have gone to MB Kia, they tell us we don't have warranty. Even suggesting we may have a " dealer warranty". That is for used cars! Terrible service department.
I was very positive about this dealership for the first 4 years I had my Sorento. However, the last 2-3 experiences with the service department have changed my view. I was having a problem with the car going into Auto A/C mode without my intervention and the air being blown in was not cooled. I could not turn the mode off nor change to recycle mode. Before I was set to take the car on a trip I went to the dealer and they said they could not even take a look at it unless I had an appointment. Two weeks was the first appointment I could get. They had my car for a full week and said the controller board needed to be replaced at a cost of $2000. They replaced it and, when taking a test drive, had the same issue. They then said the humidity sensor (in the windshield?) needed replacing. I asked whether the controller board really needed to be replaced and was given a rather unconvincing answer that it did. If the new board had the dame issue as the old one why did it need replacing? If the humidity sensor was the problem it would have been about a $100 part. They have lost a loyal customer as I had been looking at purchasing a Sportage Hybrid but will look at other options now.
Absolutely love Kia of Myrtle Beach i’ve been a Kia buyer since 2004. I just bought a brand new 2025 Kia Sportage and was lucky enough to have Rick Rizzo as my salesman.. He’s got a great personality he’s not pushy and does his best to do what he’s there for to sell you a new vehicle and he did it for me. It was an absolute pleasure doing business with him. And I love love my new Kia..

I had many questions and hesitations only because I had to choose between two vehicles that I really liked. I chose the one that I truly loved. Keith had the patience of a saint with me. The entire process from beginning to end was so smooth. The entire staff couldn't be more professional, polite and accommodating. And not to forget to mention the "no pressure" sales experience!
